Survey analyzes the mental health of real estate professionals in a difficult year

A leading mindset coach researching a white paper analyzing the mental health and well-being of real estate professionals is looking for more respondents.

Jet Xavier says the Revive survey only takes a few minutes to complete and the results are used to help inform projects like the Rise Initiative and the Real Care App, as well as being shared with leaders and managers. industry bodies to promote greater assistance for those in real estate.

Rise and the RealCare app give industry access to quality information to support team wellness and performance goals, including wellness education and training skills , mindfulness, fulfillment and many other areas.

Xavier began conducting the Revive survey, among at least 1,000 real estate professionals, in 2017, and it revealed metrics such as the number of respondents who experienced physical symptoms of anxiety or stress, having seen a doctor for work-related stress or having felt that work had impacted their personal relationships.

He said 2021 has been a roller coaster year, especially for those in property management, with the impacts of the far-reaching COVID-19 pandemic.

“The property managers had it pretty tough at the start, especially in Victoria,” said Xavier.

Xavier said that while the pandemic had certain advantages in encouraging working from home, one of the disadvantages was that people lacked the connection with others that the office environment offered.

“A few states had a lot of restrictions and blockages, so while working from home had its perks and was a great break from the busy day at the office, a lot of people missed the work connection. colleagues and the connection of the working environment, ”he said.

Xavier said more than 850 real estate professionals responded to this year’s survey, but that number is expected to reach 1,000.
